Ausphin Group Joins the Food & Hospitality Week Sydney

Ausphin Group proudly took part in the recently held Food & Hospitality Week Sydney, held from 25–27 May 2026 at ICC Sydney, one of Australia’s key gatherings for the foodservice, hospitality, restaurant, café, and technology sectors.

Food & Hospitality Week brought together the wider foodservice ecosystem across major industry events, including the Restaurant & Foodservice Show, Pizza Pasta & Italian Food Show, Café & Coffee Show, and RESTECH: The Event for Hospitality Technology. The week created a strong platform for chefs, operators, suppliers, innovators, and business leaders to connect, learn, and explore what’s next for the industry.

For Ausphin Group, the event was more than just an industry gathering. It was an opportunity to be part of meaningful conversations around hospitality, leadership, innovation, workforce solutions, and the future of how businesses attract and manage talent.

The event also featured Visumé on the show floor, where the brand connected with hospitality professionals throughout the week. Visumé introduced attendees to its recruitment app, designed to help hospitality employers connect with and hire talent globally. Through features such as AI-powered matching, visa-verified candidates, video profiles, and instant messaging, Visumé offers a faster, smarter, and more engaging way for businesses to discover the right talent beyond the traditional resume.

Throughout Food & Hospitality Week, Ausphin Group and Visumé were involved in several event activities, including Chef’s Table: From Levant to Local with Chef Gianluca Lonati, Bakery, Patisserie & Gelato Stage: Plated Perfection with Chef Travin De Hoedt, the Chef of the Year Competition, with Chef Rich Bihag, Senior Sous Chef at Polish Club Ashfield, Be a Better Boss: Technology and Tactics for Smarter Leadership, and Visumé Presents: How Smart Operators Are Changing the Way They Hire. Each program highlighted a different side of the hospitality industry, from culinary excellence and creativity to leadership, people management, and the growing role of technology in day-to-day operations.

A major highlight was Smart Operators, where our CEO and Founder, Rachelle Yilmaz spoke on the Tech Stage. Her session, “Visumé Presents: How Smart Operators Are Changing the Way They Hire,” explored how modern operators are rethinking recruitment and how digital hiring tools are helping hospitality businesses hire smarter, faster, and with more confidence.

Through this session, Rachelle shared insights into the changing expectations of both employers and candidates, and how technology can create a more human, engaging, and efficient recruitment experience. The discussion reflected a growing shift in the industry: hiring is no longer just about reading resumes, but about understanding people, personality, communication skills, and cultural fit.

Food & Hospitality Week was a strong reminder of where the industry is heading: more connected, more innovative, and more people-focused. From chefs and venue owners to technology providers and workforce leaders, the event showed that the future of hospitality will be shaped by both great talent and smart systems.

Ausphin Group and Visumé is proud to have been part of this important industry moment and looks forward to continuing its work with hospitality businesses across Australia and beyond.

As the industry continues to evolve, Ausphin Group and Visumé remain committed to supporting hospitality operators, building stronger industry connections, and contributing to conversations that help shape the future of hospitality.
